The Pulse Gazette collects the minimum data needed to operate a news site. We do not sell personal information. We use industry-standard analytics to understand how articles perform and which topics matter to readers. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address and send you a weekly digest until you unsubscribe.
Information We Collect
Newsletter subscribers
When you subscribe to our newsletter at thepulsegazette.com, we collect:
- Your email address
- Subscription timestamp
- Optional: UTM source parameters indicating which page you subscribed from
We use this to send you the weekly digest on Sundays and to understand which capture touchpoints convert. We do not share subscriber lists with third parties.
Site analytics
We use Google Analytics and standard Vercel hosting logs to measure page views, referral sources, and aggregate traffic patterns. This data is anonymized in aggregate and is not used to identify individual readers.
Advertising
The Pulse Gazette displays ads from Google AdSense. AdSense uses cookies to serve relevant ads. You can opt out at adssettings.google.com. We do not directly collect or store ad-targeting data.
How We Use Your Information

- To send the weekly newsletter to subscribers who explicitly opted in

Data Retention
Newsletter subscriber emails are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained for 26 months (the Google Analytics default). Server logs are retained for 30 days for security and debugging.
Third Parties
We use these third parties to operate the site:
- Vercel — hosting and CDN
- Supabase — database and newsletter subscriber storage
- Resend — newsletter email delivery
- Google Analytics — traffic analytics
- Google AdSense — advertising
- Cloudflare — DNS and DDoS protection (if applicable)
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy and processes data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
Children's Privacy
The Pulse Gazette is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be announced at the top of the page with a new "Last updated" date. For substantive changes that affect how we handle subscriber data, we will notify newsletter subscribers by email.
